Artist’s Statement

The awe inspiring beauty of the flora and fauna surrounding us is the inspiration for my art.  I try to capture the intense detail of each subject I paint.  My method of using very tiny brushes with strong watercolor pigments helps me to accomplish this.

To prepare, I investigate many images of my subjects for each painting I create and this aids in the accuracy of the detail.  I then compose the image in my head before giving life to my watercolor paper.
